1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference website with no government affiliation. We do not hold official records, submit court papers, retrieve files on a visitor's behalf, or perform an official background check.

The content identifies Humboldt County record custodians, including the Sheriff's Office, Union Township Justice Court, the Humboldt County Clerk, the Nevada State Police RCCD Central Repository, and the Nevada Public Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to outside tools that may assist with research.

2. Rules for Using This Site

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Nevada law places special restrictions on use of the Nevada Public Sex Offender Registry. NRS 179B.280 through 179B.290 allow civil or criminal consequences for misuse against a listed person or anyone at a reported address. Registry information is for public-safety awareness, never vigilante action or unlawful blacklisting.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Humboldt County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not create consumer reports, credit reports, or background checks. The website and its advertising partners do not provide tools intended to evaluate job applicants, rental applicants, insurance risk, or creditworthiness. You must not use website or linked-tool information to:

• Set insurance terms or judge creditworthiness
• Evaluate a rental or housing application
• Make a hiring or termination decision
• Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government program
• Carry out any other FCRA-regulated activity

A legally authorized background check for such a purpose must come through the Nevada State Police RCCD Records Bureau or an FCRA-compliant provider, as applicable.

The Nevada Public Records Act, NRS Chapter 239, and criminal-history dissemination rules in NRS Chapter 179A govern official agencies and records, not ownership or operation of this private site.

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability
