Questions about official Humboldt County criminal records should go to the Nevada or county office that keeps the original file. Court papers, Sheriff reports, jail bookings, and fingerprint-based state histories have different custodians. The contacts below route each request to the office most likely to hold it. This privately operated reference site cannot retrieve, certify, correct, or seal a government record.

  • Misdemeanors, bail, initial felony proceedings, preliminary hearings, and Justice Court warrants: contact Union Township Justice Court, 50 W. Fifth Street, Rooms 208–210, P.O.   • Booking and current county-jail custody: call the Humboldt County Detention Center, 801 Fairgrounds Road, Winnemucca, at 775-623-6423. The dated booking-report index is a publication snapshot, not a live custody guarantee.

  • Your own fingerprint-based Nevada criminal history: use the Nevada State Police RCCD Records Request and current DPS-006 instructions. Nevada has no unrestricted public statewide name-search portal.
  • Record sealing: file with the court that handled the case. For a District Court matter, start with the County Clerk; for a Justice Court matter, contact that court. Nevada generally uses record sealing rather than physical expungement.

For Sheriff-held material, identify the exact report type, incident or booking number if known, date and location, arresting agency, requested format, and whether certification is needed. Under the Nevada Public Records Act, a custodian may redact or withhold confidential content. Ask for a cost quote before production.
